As you may have noticed, I use pennies in many of my patterns, either as a border or scattered here and there: I love these small coloured and overlapping rounds bordered by a buttonhole stitch, they are unparalleled in their ability to sparkle and animate a surface.
This model takes up this recipe to form a 14" x 14" block in warm colors that highlight the artisanal dyeing of my woolens.
It can easily be adapted to decorate a cushion, a box lid, a chair top and other things I haven't thought of.
